Could it be seen as a artistic move to have a story written in prose form and then adapted into a comic with details changed to depict the tale slightly differently? I'm working on finishing a five part short story and then adapting it into a comic. The short story is meant to mimic older oral tales of a warrior's quest and the idea I had was to write it down as the MC wielding a bladed weapon and actually killing people while in the comic adaptation he wields a staff and doesn't kill anyone but still throttles a lot of people. The reasoning I wanna do this is because the characteristic of oral tradition changing depending on who tells it and what they were told. Is this a good move?
