Do any of you get the tune of your poems from a song?

Let's say you write a poem with your own words and meanings, but you sort of "sing" it in your head like a certain song. Does it help if you write a poem but visualize it as syllables from a song? I find that I can come up with all sorts of creative poetry using this "sing along" method. Strange.

    How about you?

There are several types of poem. In total, some of them are based on logic, wisdom and rational opinion, and some raise up from heart and affection (feeling).
Yes, song can help in the second type, provided that the singer have had a good voice in his mind, and if not, it will become a horrible poem :D

Yes, absolutely. As a song writer and a poet I let it go both ways.
