    !!!puppies!!!

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by wordwizard, Oct 11, 2007.

As some of you know, my dog passed away a couple months due to being hit by a car. We have been looking around (despite my sisters objections {the dog that died was borderline special needs hence her objections lol}) and we found a dog at a pet store and had to wait today to hold them and see if we liked any of them. Well we didn't buy one..:(
    WE BOUGHT TWO INSTEAD :D

We pick them up tomorrow. I am so excited. Anybody have any puppy name ideas? One is female(light brown) one is male(darker brown). They are miniature daschunds and their hair is medium to short length.

I was thinking for the girl either Lady, or Maggy
and for the boy Charlie or Avery

let me know your ideas! I will post pictures after I pick them up tomorrow!

My mother had a German Shepherd named Maggie. It was a nickname, the dog's official registered name was Mahogany. She was a very gentle, playful dog her entire life, and was great around children.

    Hi
Sorry to hear your dog got run over, I had a cat called 'Radar' who was run over last year so I know how that one feels :(

On a happier note your puppies sound adorable! If it's not hard enough to choose a puppy, it's even harder to pick a name!

I wrote an article about choosing pet names a couple of years ago and found it an interesting subject!

Whilst researching my piece, I 'googled' 'choosing puppy names' and found many sites with thousands of suggestions!

I used to have a Dachsund when I was a kid, the whole family deliberated for days over what to call him!
My brother wanted to call him 'Gnasher', a doggie character from UK comic 'The Beano', I wanted to call him 'Noah' (hm, I was only six!)
my Mom wanted to call him 'Fred' and Dad won by calling him 'Fritz'!

awe!!! we are a wiener dog family. After loosing our other dog I didnt want another daschund because they are so stubborn and I felt like I would be replacing my other dog,but my bf really wanted another. they have so many upsides that I decided to give it another shot. Wish me luck!
