    Why Leaka?
Is this just your personal opinion on taste, or do you have a reason why he shouldn't grow his hair out the way he wants to? o_o

Wavy hair isn't fun if it gets too wavy. I have the problem where if my hair grows past two or three inches, it curls up and out. Actually, when the hair on my sideburns hit 2 inches, they curl up and make a little tuft.

A good shampoo can help. Also, frizziness needs to be watched out for--I work in a pet shop and the owner is too cheap to run the AC, so it gets hot and humid quick--I get an extra inch on the top of my head when I go to work. I imagine Puerto Rico can get that way sometimes.

Sometimes? Try ALL the time! :D

Actually, I found a good shampoo and conditioner combo that is giving me the texture I really want. It was one of the reasons for wanting to grow my hair out. (I bought three bottles of each after I realised that I really liked it.) I don't get the frizzies easily because I have a pretty heavy caliber of hair.

I tried last year to grow my hair out as well, but I had dyed/fried my hair, so it just didn't work out. This time around, it's all natural.

for those with the frizzies rub olive oil into the ends
leave it for about 5 min.
then rub it all through and wash it out.
don't know why this helps but it does.

I wish I could have long hair but in my avatar picture you
can see how short my hair is but when it is wet it is actually
    2" longer than it appears.

Yeah, that's one of those things that's difficult about curly hair...

When I cut my own hair, I always underestimate how much it's going to curl up, and it ends up being too short.

It kinda has to do with my person taste and also because I tried to grow my hair long, its pain in the neck.
I have wavy hair as well and when you have wavy hair it can become the worse nightmare of yours.

For taste I don't like guys with long hair, I don't think it works with them unless they are really really feminine looking.

One thing many of us learned in the 60's - long hair is too easily grabbed in a struggle. One reason for the cop/military buzz cut.

Hmmmmm. I must keep that in mind. ;) Gay guys fight dirty. I can see some hair pulling going on in a scuffle at the local bar.

Good thing I'm buff. It tends to keep the...um...how do I put this...bitchier* guys at bay.
