Lies are a peaceful green field that yields into a squirming grey mass of ravenous parasites when you wander into it.
An addiction to escaping from things you don't want to deal with, but will have to deal with it later unless you keep on lying/drugging and making it worse.
Banzai, you can suck my big toe. And that "gimp" is the leader of the conservative party, the main opposing party in the elections, and should be Prime Minister. and I do not understand the question, Ivan
The question was, what do you think lies would be like if they were tangible? (Tangible = something that could be seen, felt, etcetera.) It's really just kind of a whacked-out, no-right-answer thing. Be creative. Here's a thought for everyone: So far, the image of lies has been presented as something that seems very nice on the outside, but is very bad on the inside. What about those that are the other way around, like when the media stretches and manipulates things to make them seem much worse than they are? Maybe lies are more like a television- one that, sadly, can't be turned off.
That's still acheiving a desired effect, a presentation that manipulates the viewer into seeing what someone else wants them to. Hmmm, maybe lies are like a cheap wine - not to everyone's taste, but gets the job done quickly and you regret what you did under the influence.
A lie could be a horsefly, lighting on things and spreading unseen filth. Buzzing, biting, waiting just over your shoulder - all too rarely within striking distance. A common guest in the households of those who do not highly value the cleanliness of a clear conscience; spawned by hubris, clinging to the reek of the guilt.
What about the lies we tell to children? The fairytale embellishments we add to their everyday lives?
