If you're flying in the U.S. this summer...

Discussion in 'Debate Room' started by Steerpike, May 17, 2016.

Long TSA lines have already started. I took my mom to LAX Saturday, and there were already problems there, and LAX isn't as bad as other places.

If you've ever flown through SFO, you probably noticed that the security screening is more pleasant and efficient, on the whole. It's done by a private contractor.

I'm not one to immediately think that moving things to the private sector makes it better, but I've had a lot of frustration with the TSA, and it looks like I'm not alone in finding the private security to be of higher quality.

What do you guys think? Time to have the TSA step aside?
