That little 23 month old is a lot more brave than I will ever be. But through her I am learning to be brave. Funny how we can learn from an infant isn't it?
Kids are some of the best teachers if we only allow them to be I feel. They are greatly underestimated that is for sure. And I will be sure to shadow, thank you.
Thankyou Whisp that is very kind of you. We spoke to her Doctor today, it was just a routine check up this week. He has told me that her breathing and lung usage sounds normal. She had a staff infection in her lung and bronchial tube and has to remain on antibiotics for a further 2 weeks when she returns to the city again for another endoscope. But the good news is that she is doing better than expected and definately seems to be making a full recovery. Torana
I'm sorry that I'm out of the loop... What exactly is wrong with Torana's daughter? Best wishes, whatever it is, I can tell that it must be serious.
My daughter was having a lot of difficulties with her breathing and a cough and flu like symptons for well over 3 months. In that time they thought she had asthma, phnemonia (however it is spelt), bronchitis and whooping cough. She never got better at all and I was getting rather concerned and really pushed my Doctor into sending her to a pediatrician (child's specialist). In doing so the pediatrician told us that she was not rotated in her x-rays but had an obstruction in her lung or bronchial tube, or it had collapsed. When she went to the city and had an endoscope done they had found a small cutting off of a fruit tree in her bronchial tube and a major infection in both her bronchial tube and her left lung. She had no usage of her left lung for some time, as infection had sealed it over. We were very lucky that it was found when it was or she may have not been with us much longer. They had no idea it was so severe, as she was so full of life still. She is a very strong little girl that is for certain. She is now fine though and making a full recovery from what we can all tell so far. She has another endoscope in 2 weeks, which is the 20th of this month which will tell us if she is recovering well and if any further damage has been done. All I can say is that I am very lucky I never lost her and I thank everyone here for being so very supportive and understanding over the last month with this situation. I would never have copped as well without the support from everyone. Thank you all so very kindly Torana
Wow, that sounds absolutely awful. I'm not a mother, so I could never imagine the horror that you went through, but I give my condolences. I'm so glad she's getting better!
Wow. I've not really kept updated on this one as i've been away from the forums for a little while, but i'm glad that you found out what the problem is and I hope that everythings looking fine after the second endoscope thingy too. Good luck and I hope you can relax even more soon
At the moment? Nothing, she's just recovering. She did have a lung infection caused by a piece of wood being caught in her lung. She's gonna be okay now though
