Yeah, the Genovese murder was the first thing that came to my mind on reading the OP. I have a troubled relationship with apathy. At times in my life I've needed it and it wasn't there for me; other times, it was an unwelcome visitor. As a result, while I may entertain it, I do not trust it.
I don't even see that post. I think the difference here though is, it would be citing someone else's work, it's not just info.
Only on this site could there be drama over a reference. Any quotation, of any kind, needs to be properly referenced, you can't do a degree (at least in my country) with out having that beaten into your cranium.
You are an evil genius. (Evil, last accessed: 10/03/2014) Also, it's best to use the harvard referencing system, as it's the one most academically minded institutions accept as the most appropriate. How do we have referencing wars? Because I'm in! Biblliography: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/come-at-me-bro

Hahaha, I hope not. Referencing a reference guide. I'm afraid that's far too metaphysical for me right now. I mean, it is a Monday after all.
While doing that post I was scratching off a lottery ticket and won $10. Hell will soon freeze over. You're welcome.
no, i didn't!... had to use the plagiarism checker to find out... which should tell you something......
Yeah, tells me you ignored the QUOTATION MARKS and have some desire to find something bad about me or my posts.
I'm not sure what the issue is here. When you post a quote by someone else, you must cite the source. Otherwise it's considered plagiarism. Why is that so hard for some people to understand?
Why is it hard to understand that I simply quoted with quotation marks the lyrics to a very well known song and thought most people would recognize that it was A VERY WELL KNOWN SONG. If you were to post: "Oh say can you see" in italics, in quotes, and in a forum, not in a publication, or a formal paper, or a paper you were turning in to a teacher or professor, would anyone even blink that you didn't pedantically cite Francis Scott Key? This is a forum people, not a formal work for publication. Perhaps people don't recall that I'm a forum poster who has been chastised more than once for constantly posting citations for claims I make. Guess I can't win.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Ochs He's as well known in 'my circle of friends' as Woodie Guthrie and Pete Seeger. Somehow this seems a bit disingenuous since you seemed to even know what the song was about.
