Is anyone part of a writing circle/club?

I live in a small town and want to figure out a way to meet people with similar interests to me. I thought the best way to this would be to start a writing club, I have no idea how to go about it. I was just wondering if anyone is a part of something similar and enjoys it?

 

I live in a town of 30,000 people and I found one. It's held at a "community learning and resource centre."

 

My town is 14,000 I can't find one anywhere. I was thinking of starting one up. Do you enjoy it?

 

Yes, I do. It's a good blend of characters.

 

I have no idea how to go about starting one up, I was thinking about maybe going through the local library?

 

I have a circle of friends who are all writers. I'm not part of an organized club though.

 

That sounds really lovely! I would love to take part in something like that, I just think it would be a good opportunity to discuss ideas and meet new people I share interests with.
