Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Targaddon, May 16, 2007.

Your missing a thread/forum on journalism/non-fiction. I think if this were to be added to the forum it would be good to open other avenues for the amateur writer. And gives the members the chance to maybe practice journalism article that are totally non fiction based.

Well, being on my school paper (and an editor next year) I have to say that Journalism isn't something that you an really grade. It's writing, and writing in a hurry- how could we judge that?

We had this discussion once...the verdict was an eventual, "Nah, we're too lazy, just put it in Non-Fiction."

Well its not for judging really more for others seeking advice and help off other members this is after all a rather friendly forum barring the odd member.
Many other writing forums have a non-fiction Journalism section. I just thought and think others may benefit drom it. Just because you see no reason to benefit for one doesn't mean to say many others wouldn't.

Your a Moderator so I would have thought you'd consider both sides to the coin.
    But its merely a suggestion.

Maybe so. But im new here and thought others may benefit from this. Well as a forum community putting it to the vote wouldn't hurt.

I think that a journalism forum would be a good idea. And I thought mods did more than just lock things!? anyways.....maybe give it a go for a month or 2 and see how it goes, there is no harm in trying something and if it doesn't work just take it away. As easy as that really.
