Hello, I just joined writing forums. I want to know how do I critique? Do I just comment in the box and that will count as a critique?
Welcome to the site! Leaving a comment in the conversation is all you need, just remember to say enough in it
What @Simpson17866 just said. Welcome to the forum! Make sure to check our our New Member Quick Start Guide as well.
I'd say put into a critique the kind of insight you would find helpful if somebody gave it to you, about your own writing. Just saying 'I liked it' or 'I didn't like it' isn't really enough. That's a vote, not a critique! You don't have to be an expert, though. Just give an honest and relatively in-depth reaction to what you've read. If you don't feel qualified to do it as a fellow writer, just do it as a reader. That will be helpful, whichever side of the like/don't like fence you're on. Welcome to the forum. It's a great place to be. Just take the time to find your feet and get to know people, and let them get to know you. It's well worth it. I see your location is Pakistan. Is Urdu your first language, and English your second? If so, I am already impressed. I certainly wish I'd taken the time to become multilingual, but I never did.
Thank you so much for the info. I've started giving my thoughts as inputs to fellow writers. Yes Urdu is my first language and English my second. Thank you for the compliment
