    Favorite Singer/Band

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Kratos, Jun 8, 2008.

    What's everyone's favorite singers/bands?

I'd have to say either Three Days Grace or Nickelback. I'm starting to like Seether, 3 Doors Down, and Breaking Benjamin a lot, too.

My favorite band would have to be Behemoth. The lead singer, Nergal, has a knack for absolute brutality in his voice. Their lyrics are well constructed and researched, most lyrics finding roots in Mythology and Theology. The lead singer sings with such hatred, it makes the songs awesome to the end.

Ohh haven't heard of them might have to add them to my most wanted CD list. I love bands with the hate factor happening. Lamb of god is good like that too

Lamb of God I find their hate more in the roots of society rather than Behemoth who are more into blasphemy against God.

I'm not much into today's bands with a few exceptions: Disturbed, System of a Down, and Tool... there are others, I'm just too lazy to list them). I like classic rock, mostly. And some 80s metal.

Black Sabbath/Ozzy Osbourne, Led Zeppelin, old school Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest. But I'm really starting to get into Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (possibly some of the heaviest **** on the planet!) :p

I think the singer of KSE is pretty talented. I especially like their cover of Holy Diver. I don't listen to them too often, but I have a few select songs I like of theirs like Rose of Sharyn and World Ablaze.

I like Mindless Self Indulgence and Paramore, and a bunch of random J-Pop/DDR-type stuff. Toy Box and Aqua are fun, too. Oh, and Breaking Benjamin!

If you wanted to check out Behemoth, heres a music video for one of their new songs.

Its heavy, so dont say you weren't forewarned.
It would be a benefit to look up the lyrics and follow along because its hard to understand at times.

YES! Absolutely my favorite. Tool is pretty high up there, too.

Depending on my mood, I'll also listen to Train and Eve 6 :p

My fav singer is a tie between Darby Crash, Rob Zombie, and Brian Johnson. My favorite bands would have to be The Germs, Metallica, White Zombie, AC/DC, and Slayer.

I seem to switch who I like every month, but here is a list of my consistently favorite bands:

    TV On the Radio
    Beck
    The Beatles
    Bob Marley
    The Cure
    David Bowie
    Flaming Lips
    Hot Chip
    Nirvana
    Pixies
    Radiohead
    Of Montreal

So basically I would say that most modern bands are not really my thing. My favorite songs right now are "Mad World"(written by Tears for Fears and performed in Donnie Darko by Gary Jules), "L.E.S. Artists" (by Santogold) and "Capital G" (by Nine Inch Nails).

Does Joe Satriani count? 'Cause he's my favorite musician.

Singers... Amy Lee (Evanescence), James Hetfield (Metallica), David Draiman (Disturbed), Johnny Gioeli (Crush 40; a virtual high-five if you've heard of them)

Bands... pretty much all those mentioned above, plus Rev Theory, Hardline, Dream Evil, and Neil Zaza

But my golden three are Jun Senoue (guitarist from Crush 40), Joe Satriani, and Neil Zaza. If I were prone to worshipping humans, these three would be my gods. :p
