List of Technology by Decade/Era in America

Discussion in 'Research' started by MrPiano, Jul 29, 2013.

Hey All! I was hoping someone knows of, or can help me find, an online list of common technologies used in America in certain decades. It can be in big chunks, like "1800's technologies" or "1900-30" common machines/technologies, etc. I don't need it to be too specific either, if you want to help and make up a list. Mostly I'm looking for general things [for example, the progression of horse and buggy to car to trains/planes, etc., blah blah)
    Thanks!!!

Hmmm...sounds like a school project. If so, please check the forum rules.

In the meantime, Google is your friend.

Yes, Google is your friend, if you want this info online. Try: "history of transportation in 19th and 20th century America" or something like that. The word 'timeline' inserted into the search may help give you a list rather than wads of text.

Yeah, me too. Similar issues. Try finding a readable train timetable for a particular railway company for 1886, if you REALLY want a challenge!

It's all in the search string, which doesn't mean it isn't frustrating at times.
