This feels better than the original. The unnatural squared arrangement and shape of the original cluster of landmasses the Jack pointed out now feels more natural and organic.
I also cringed at The Dying Bowels.......maybe consider The Dying Depths, The Dying Recesses, The Dying Interior......all suggesting bowels .......I liked all of the other names especially Blackpowder Isles and The Homeless Highlands........Aris and Yrst might have better choices or possibly Yrst, City of Giants etc.
"The Dying Bowels" is an edgy one for me too. I could imagine it being part of some dialogue though. "Why did you bring me to the dying bowels? Why?"
Wow! Even without any details this looks like a massive improvement to me. The landmasses feel much more believable. Look forward to seeing this come together...
