My Short Story "Fictional History" published by Bewildering Stories

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by TWErvin2, Oct 5, 2009.

    WF Folks,

My short story "Fictional History" was published today by Bewildering Stories.

It's a only 4300 word short story, but they published it in two parts (the link to part two is at the end of part one).

Click on over and give it a read, and let me know what you think, either here or at my blog.

I finally found time to read through it. A very thought-provoking piece:

You should really read the story first.
In the present, we have the critical readers like Dr. Hollins to challenge aberrant copies. But that depends on the availability of other copies to compare against.

What if Nadab's scroll had not been hidden, and had been widely copied and retranslated during the centuries?

And how certain can we be that the scrolls Nadab was translating from were free from similar corruption?

    Fine work, Terry!

Rei, thanks for the congrats. If I can do it, others here can well.

Soujiroseta, appreciate your support and popping over to my blog.

Cogito, it is a somewhat open ended view that allows readers to ponder their own 'what ifs'. Thanks for reading and commenting!

    Hollowly,

Thanks for the congrats! And also it is quite true that more than a few writers here could get their work published if they followed through with their efforts, and submitted.

Although they do appear, it'd be great to see more posts of successes.

    Jonathan Hernandez,

Thanks for the congrats, and I am sure there is occasionally little luck involved a submission that is accepted.
