    Dark comedy novels

Discussion in 'Discussion of Published Works' started by Anyone, Sep 11, 2011.

    Hello everyone! I'm new here.
I'm looking for some books that have a lot of dark humour and satire. I would be very pleased if they also have some horror elements as well, but it's okay if they don't.
Before you reply - I've already read and loved Catch-22 and some Vonnegut novels.

Jeff Lindsay's Dexter novels are somewhat comedic- and quite dark.

The correct term for this genre (will make it easier for you to find it in future) is 'Black Comedy'. A couple of examples that come to mind are American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, and one of my favourite books of all time, The Dice Man by Luke Rhinehart.
