More good news... it appears that this is my week...

Discussion in 'Success Stories' started by mrieder79, May 20, 2016.

...maybe I should send out a few query letters since I seem to be on a roll...

In March I entered the False Key short fiction contest. First prize was publication in the upcoming anthology. Just found out this morning that I won. Looks like I'm going to be published this fall. At the risk of understating, I will say that I am very, very happy.

And that's not even your novel, is it? THAT prize is still pending. :) It's wonderful to be recognised not only as a writer, but as a damn good one. Many many congratulations.

I'm jealous of how well you're doing, which should say more than anyone who is 'happy' for you :D

Well I'm not only jealous, but am planning identity theft so I can claim @mrieder79's success. BEAT THAT.

You're definitely on a roll, Mr Rieder! Go go go :cheerleader:

Oh yeah, well I already have a social security number, attended high school, and the name of mrieder79's favorite pet!

Also, on an unrelated subject, can we have a very in depth and informative conversation about your favorite place to visit as a child, favorite color, and the name of your 3rd grade teacher?

Hey I forgot to ask, could you send me your passport? It's for... story research. I'll return it to you safe and sound.

I can absolutely send that to you! I also know it will get there on time thanks to me having your home address, email, and (I don't know why you only have one for every website) the password for your travelocity account.

Thanks for the kind words. I am pleased that the market value of my identity has, apparently, increased.

It's all those Shirley Temple collector's plates I buy from the Franklin Mint. You would be surprised how fast you can max out a credit card on those things!
