I’ve been reading threads on this site for a few months now and have found many of the discussions to be thought provoking and helpful to my writing ideas. It has kept me entertained during the moments where I am bored in life and uninspired in my passions (which is unfortunately all too frequent). I am not very adept in the social sphere-- whether it’s face-to-face or screen-to-screen but I love writing because it has been the way that I’ve been able to present myself and actually connect with people in my day-to day life. Introductions are always hard for me but I am finally working up the courage to actually post things for more direct feedback and criticism because a lot of the “usual suspects” here seem quite informed and I’d love to bounce ideas back and forth with such people and like-minded individuals. I don’t really know what the proper etiquette is-- I don’t want to just start asking things or providing feedback without an introduction of sorts in case that’s too demanding and presumptuous. So here I am, Transylvanian Amnesiac (or Kyle-- whichever you prefer), coming out of the shadows and getting ready to be more open about myself and my craft. What do you find most rewarding about writing?
