My first accepted short story, "Hooves and Tobacco on a Sunday Morning", has just recently been published in a Weird Western anthology entitled "Riding the Dark Frontier: Tales of the Weird West". The story is set in late 1890s Indian territory, and deals with a creature from Ponca legends. If you're interested in it or Weird Westerns in general, you can currently pick up the anthology from the following places: http://www.lulu.com/shop/thirteen-oclock-press/riding-the-dark-frontier-tales-of-the-weird-west/paperback/product-22878818.html http://www.horrifiedpress.com/ The way I understand it, the anthology will be coming to Amazon and the Kindle Store some time soon. Whenever it does, I'll post a link there. It's not on a huge or prestigious market, but I'm still pretty excited. Getting an acceptance like this after a string of rejections is, at least, a welcome boost to my self-confidence. With any luck, this will be the first baby step on a successful career in writing.
