Lol, well some very common names are derived from deities...

    Mars - Martial, Martin
    Donner (variation of Thor's name)

The names of the days of the week (in English) are derived from germanic deities

    Tyr/Tiw - Tuesday (Tiw's day)
    Odin/Wotan - Wednsday (Wotan's day)
    Thor - Thursday (Thor's day)
    Frigga - Friday (Frigga's day)

Some cities/places are/were based on deities

    Athena (patron goddess of) Athens
Britannia (patron goddess of a celtic tribe) Britain

And several months are deity inspired

    Mars - March
    Janus - January
Augustus (if you buy into the Roman propaganda that the emperor became a god) - August
    Juno - June

Given enough time and being fully immersed in a culture, even these archaic characters seem very familiar and mundane.
