Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone! 2015 is coming to the end, and I believe it's high time to set some goals for the next year and share the, with others to make them easier to achieve. (I think that everyone heard of the trick of telling others about something if you want this "something" to come true.) So, I'll start. My writing goals for 2016 are: 1) launching the personal blog (shame on me, but I do not have any) 2) writing and publishing ebook 3) new publications at such awesome resources as Huffington Post, Inc, and Entrepreneur Well, that's a minimum. A maximum is still under construction What about you?
My goal is to publish four short stories somewhere and attract publisher interest in a novel. I'll let you know if I make those things happen.
1) Finish my first novel (nearly there) and seek representation 2) Write my second novel 2) is not dependent on 1) being a success, though.
I'm going to start writing! I have spent too long thinking about writing without actually putting pen to paper. I've started keeping a diary that I add to daily and I'm keeping a dream journal. And I've dug out my copy of The Ode Less Travelled, Stephen Fry's beginner's guide to writing poetry. Good luck all!
I think my goals for this year is to; Write and complete a short story Write more for the novel I'd like to publish Develop my characters a bit more I'd love to try and talk too a publisher maybe but at the moment I'm unsure as I don't feel quite ready yet. good luck all!!
I'm hopeful that 2016 will be a much better year than that last one. (So glad 2015 is behind me!) As far as my writing goals are concerned, I have several: Begin and finish my first longer work - a novella. Depending on my experience with goal 1, start my first novel. Continue writing (and finishing) short stories, simply because they're fun and short, but also because they can enhance basic writing skills. As I begin this year, I want to thank WF for providing the needed inspiration for me to actually finish a story that I started. Finally, yet particularly, I want to thank the mentors that I have met on this site for their support and their enthusiasm for the art of writing fiction. (You know who you are!) I wish all of you the very best that 2016 has to offer!
As for me.. I want to finish my WIP by latest end of February. I think that it is achievable looking at the rate I have been writing. And then I want to take a month off, to read all the unread books lying around just now (as of this moment they are 5). And then I want to start on the new WIP which comes on and off to mind. Should be educational, clerical setting. Completely different from the one I am writing just now And maybe in the middle of 2016 I want to do the first round of edits on Twisted. And look where that gets me! Also, following up @datahound2u , I also want to give a big hug to all of you who have been closely involved with my WIP, who have offered opinions on the threads where I have asked particular questions, or given support and friendship! As a new writer this input is crucial and I cannot express my gratitude that I've had this opportunity. And particularly I want to thank the starter of the writing prompt "It was a dark and stormy night"
1) Finish writing my novella/novel (unsure on the final length) 2) Write ten short stories 3) Start a blog (maybe)
- Finish writing my novel. - Finish at least two installments of my Harry Potter fanfic series. - Get my YouTube Channel off the ground. During last NaNo, I made the decision to switch my focus from comics and illustration, so this year I really want to put myself fully into my writing. Wish you all luck with your own goals!
I want to: 1) Write my second novel and publish it 2) Revise and possibly publish my first novel 3) Continue to develop my writing style 4) Write in my journal every day 5) Complete another NaNoWriMo novel I think that's it for now. Good luck to everyone on your goals!
