The follow up to the mini-series will be arriving shortly. The Pacific - a 10 part mini-series on the war in the Pacific (obviously) airs on March 14th.
The unit that made up Band of Brothers was reactivated in 2005. 506th Special Troops Battalion of the 101st Airborne. My dad was a part of it and they were deployed to Iraq. If I'm not mistaken, they are still active. My dad's retired though. As for the show, it's pretty much fantastic. We watched it in history class.
I LOVED Band of Brothers. I have been looking forward to the Pacific for quite some time. I applaud good storytelling and good acting.
