Next "Chatbox" Name Suggestions!

Because the wedding gag is only a symptom. The Chatbox is careening out of control, and this is as good a time as any to remind people what te thread is and is not. I hope that those who need the reminder will take the hint without my having to take them aside and make it official.

Besides, it's relevant to the naming. It's not a Gold Key club or a secret lair, and the name should reflect that if at all possible. Admittedly, Chatbox does not make it very clear, and many ofd those who use the tread have probably never even looked at the initial post.

I'm voting for the Tavern.

 

I really think the Tavern Part (Whatever we are up to) is the way to go.


But if you wanted to let new members feel welcome ... call it the Welcome Wagon.

Welcoming in new members plus welcoming back regulars each and everyday.

(Damn, that's really good!) lol.

 

I still stcik by the Watering Hole, or something like it. Some universal word for 'place where people gather'.

I must admit, The Tavern appeals to me. It also goes hand in hand with La Taberna Española, which was unstuck quite some time ago (I restickied it).

'The Hanging Hall', 'The Meeting Hall', or simply 'The Hall'

 

or 'The Pub'. It's short, appealing, easy to remember.

I don't care what you call it, as long as it's a place that can feasibly have a couch.

 

I think Tavern is good, closely followed by the Watering Hole...and Emily's couch premise is good.

 

I will settle for a hammock if we go with the watering hole. Just saying.

 

I'm all for The Rumpus Room or Something like the Writing Den (Though i just realised it has nothing to do with writing, haha)

"Pub" is quite like "Tavern" ... "Tavern" sounds old, medieval, Roman ... Tolkienish.

Therefore, I'd have "Pub", it's more neutral.

If people grab the "Tavern" idea, I'd like to suggest "Tavern #2", if there's been one already before ... (Or "Tavern II", or something like. Maybe "Tavern: Chapter II".)

Er ... you could call me Parvo, by the way. In a lot of places I'm registered with an id like that. And it looks more like a name. When I make an intro', I'll mention that, I believe.
