Nominations for Short Story Club (18)

Discussion in 'Book Discussion' started by thirdwind, Jun 11, 2013.

Post the name of the story (and the author) you'd like to read and discuss for the next Short Story Club in this thread. Make sure the story can be found for free online (at a legit source). That way, people don't have to worry about finding a copy. However, don't post a link to the story. Again, please only post the name of the story and the author.

Please only nominate one story so that everyone has a chance to nominate something. Once we get enough nominations, I'll start a poll where everyone can vote on what story they want to read.

Any genre is OK, but nothing with too much violence, etc. Make sure the story agrees with the site's policies.

Anyone have any nominations to get things started?

I'll be busy this week, so the next poll probably won't go up until the end of the week. That should give everyone plenty of time to come up with a story to nominate.

Also, the last two discussions didn't have very many participants, so please consider joining in on those discussions. The links to the stories are below.

Short Story Club (16): The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas by Ursula K. Le Guin

Short Story Club (17): Wake for Susan by Cormac McCarthy

So did people lose interest in the short story club, or is everyone just too busy to participate?
