    Old MacDonald had an... Ostrich?

Discussion in 'Research' started by stormcat, Jul 14, 2014.

I'm looking for weird animals that could be farmed for meat, feathers, eggs, or milk. I know ostriches can be farmed, but what are some other unusual animals you could semi-domesticate for this purpose?

I've been told that kangaroo steaks are delicious. "Ol' MacDonald 'ad a 'roo..."
    And it rhymes with emu.

On the property we have here there are emus and kangaroos that wander around I'm sure we could farm them both but the farmer only uses them for dog meat

I think elephant is good for farming because it has a lot of meat and milk so it has a noticeable profit in markets. The problem is that it hasn't egg and feather.
