Ok a general question here for those who are mobile phone addicted. What do you have? a) PDA b) Hiptop Slide c) normal mobile phone What is better? What do you prefer? Share your thoughts....
I have a mobile phone. I use it as a phone, and not much else, although I like having the camera feature for when I don't have a better camera at hand.

That thing actually looks pretty 1990's if you ask me. My main problem is calling a mobile phone a cell phone and having people stare at me weirdly - because in Australia it's always called a mobile. I choose the mobile phone, though.
And Cogito I use my mobile to email people all the time as I spend a lot of time in hospital and in the stoneages now <giggles> So I find it very handy to be able to keep in touch with people I know from other countries by being able to email them from my mobile. Also I get my emails sent to my mobile phone as well. I am seriously thinking of getting a PDA or HipTop slide, just not sure really. They are very pricey but so much fun
The HipTop's came out just before the PDA's I think. They are fairly largish and with the PDA's like the Dopod they cn be quite heavy and bulky as well. But being able to write on them, a proper word document I think that they are just a marvellous invention. They are great for keeping in touch with people that you want to keep in touch with whilst you have no internet connection as well. <If you are internet addicted lol>
See I was always using a normal mobile but now I have found that it doesn't cater well enough for my requirements. I've started this exact same discussion on another forum and found that 89 writers there have a PDA or a HipTop slide and do not use a normal mobile at all. The other 100 that replied said they haven't got one yet but are going to or aren't going to because they don't understand their uses well enough and that they are happy using normal mobiles.
I live in the dark ages. don't even have a cell phone. In our area it is the dark hole. Only one company can get a signal and you pay roving fees as soon as you drive 2 hours down the road one way. So really not worth bothering with.
Meh- I'm sticking to a normal Mobile- a bit cheaper as well probably. I'm hopefully buying another one on Monday- if I have money left in my account.. I kinda havn't checked it.... bit scared to really! BUt yeah, I'm getting a newer mobile. I think the hip-top slides and PDA's are better if you're in a business or something. As long as my mobile looks shiny, is flippy and has a camera with decent ring-tones and is hopefully no more than $150 bucks- then I'm happy!
Well I haven't got a PDA yet but will be getting one this year after I get my new car and move to the city. They are great for many number of things DOZ and personally I find that they are perfectly suited to my requirements.
