I think first of all this thread is very useful for learning what not to do which helps find what to do. And secondly, this guy has earned it through narcissistic comments, truly shameless self-promotion, condescending insults to those who DARE to give him proper critique and try to improve his writing, and for stealing from Zelda. I have to say, I do fell sorry for this guy. He seems like he might be autism spectrum of some kind. Or something. I don't think he's insane he seems more like someone who spends too much time alone with his thoughts not thinking about or considering other's perspectives. And that has lead to some idiocies despite him seeming in some ways intelligent. It's sad, really. But do I think he should be free from mockery and criticism? No. Unless he's literally schizophrenic, and considering he's an actor and an adult, I think if he was crazy he would have already been/be in treatment. Someone would have said something. Surely. (Or am I too optimistic there?) Please read more. I'm finding it quite helpful and entertaining. But we should probably focus away from mocking him directly as a person, and focus on what could (if he had the skin to read it) be a very productive wake-up slap for him. (But he's never going to listen to that level of bluntness, is he?)
I have to ask; does anyone believe the recommendation quote is real? I'm suspicious. It mentions characters having distinct voices; "you can HEAR the voices of the characters as individual people not just in your own voice in your own head" That is the opposite of my impression. The characters are not particularly real for me. I get a sense of some kind of character, but they're too confusing to feel complete. I don't really understand who they are or what the hell they're doing. But I guess maybe someone just thinks differently, likes his confusing characters.
Given that Dylan has faked 5-star reviews and possibly paid for Twitter followers, and has an imaginary editor - a false recommendation doesn't seem too far fetched. I wonder that at what point Jack Asher got banned? For me his name is crossed. I did enjoy his comedy in these posts.
I honestly don`t know what he would get banned for, and I wasn`t aware that a line through your name was an indication that you were banned. Could it just be a style thing?
FAQ #114 says: Banned members are, of course, banned; the strikethrough demonstrates this. So it would appear that he is banned. Hopefully it's temporary.
For the sake of clarity, though in truth it's not really anyone's business (and I mean that in the flattest sense) but the member is only on a "time out".
Wow! I have no idea why Jack got put in time out for. Must have really pissed somebody off. It was Saccaccio wasn't it, you can tell us it was him, its ok.
Yep. I'm secretly Saccaccio and I've determined a method of hacking the forums to oppose any and all who cast aspersions on my magnum opus.
