    Oreo Argument

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Rumpole40k, Aug 22, 2008.

Hey everyone. I need help to settle an argument. Can anyone think of a place in the world that would have internet access but not have oreos?

    f'real?

I guess I'd have to say that no such place could exist... maybe some tiny country in like Asia though.

Antarctica. They have internet via satellite, but it might not be cost effective to ship Oreos to said local.

you'd have to define 'have' before answering this... do you mean where they can be bought, which is what it should refer to?... because otherwise, there's no place in the world that someone couldn't bring some to, is there?

If he means, like, as far as being in stores, than it is possible to find a list of countries that Nabisco exports to, and cross reference it with countries that have internet.

Ok seriously, I guess I meant they can be bought or readily aquired.

How about Iraq? Or some other regime hostile to the US and its products?

Erm... My only response to this topic is as follows:

I found a thread on another internet forum discussing Oreos, and a few members stated that they did not have them in their country - however, their respective countries were not named.

You know that box next to the Wendy's?
I've been to Japan a few times, and I've never seen Oreos, or any other American cookies for that matter, sold. It goes without saying that the Japanese have internet access too.

Iraq I would expect to have Oreos, due partly to the large US presence there. It's a society in flux. North Korea may be a better example, a country that is closed off to Americans and strongly isolationist in its policies.

This is sad. Everyone should have Oreos. :(

What do you twist apart and drink with milk if you don't have an Oreo? (Double Stuffed only, please)

As far as I am aware, from talking to my friend in Wales, UK Oreo's are NOT available in stores. He does however have Internet access. He's visiting in Atlanta for a while and we're sending him home with some soft drinks and oreos.

Oh, they don't have Wendy's Hamburgers either.
