    Differences..

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by dushechka, Aug 3, 2007.

..between your online and original self? (Original meaning real life : p)
Other than of course, the usual social anxieties we all experience.

    Inform me.

I honestly didn't intend for that to sound so incredibly creepy..

I'm not sure there are any really. I mean, I'm more confident online, but I'm not sure how much. Also, I'm less likely to say stupid things on here, because I can review what I say, unlike in reality.

Nothign really. The same darkness, imagination, vividness of thought, excitement, love for food, desire for adventure, craziness and hateful attitude as here ;) Maybe back in this world I'm more silent and depressed, because there's no one here to understand me. Here, I'm a writer and learning to be better, but back in my life I'm a teenager with no value to people. It really changes a lot.

hmmm I am way more shy outside of the forum. I never let people I know read my poetry(too insecure I guess?) I rarely review what I write here because I like to show my personality and if I edit things then you get a fake me.(although I do admit I have regretted that a few times)

I probably delve more deeply into meaningful conversations online more often than with people I actually know.
I probably seem like an anti-social authority despising teenager online, which is probably true in some respects.

I try to be as real as I can, online or not, but sometimes things just slip out that I'd normally not say.

Well, online I tend to be strict, uptight, and boring. In real life... I'm one of the most outgoing, loud, obnoxious, crazy, and fun girls you will ever meet. I just try to be more sophisticated online.

I'm much more annoying, tolerable, sane, wacky, thoughtful, rash, funny, grating, strange, and normal on the web then I am in real life.

    Yeah. It's all relative.

In real life, I am 5'0" and 95lbs.
I have a really immature sense of humor, and I make a lot of weird faces.
I think I'm altogether friendlier in person.

I think the biggest similarity, though, would be that I tend to stand back and observe more than talk, both online and in real life.

I'm more argumentative online, not in a bad way, I just get into debates a lot more. I also sound more intelligent online, because my tongue has a bad habit of outrunning my brain.

see now i must technically have three personalities, my online one, my most frequently used one and the actual me. there is not much difference between the first two, i am happy and smiley and seem fairly confident. but the real me. now if i told you anything about her, you'd all be scared :p
