    Good afternoon to other members

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by summerlovin, Aug 2, 2016.

Hello, I have just joined and would like to say hello to everybody. I am looking for some help with a question, not sure if this is the right section, so here goes. I am looking for some software that automatically corrects grammar and punctuations for a friend of mine, does anyone know of anything reliable and possibly not to expensive?

    Thank you

Hmm, I don't know of any that do it automatically but there's lots of grammar checkers out there.
    Anyway, welcome to the forum!

...had me a blast, happened so fast.

I'd have your 'friend' shy away from 'as you go' correction @summerlovin it can be a risky undertaking. What I've encountered isn't smart enough to grasp the finer details of our less than logical language.

Maybe something like Paper Rater would be more useful. You creates your text, you copies it, and you pastes it into their site. From there you can say yay or nay to any suggestions it makes. Safer.

^ From what I recall it's free. Or at least it was the last time I used it.

Hi, @summerlovin, and welcome to the forum! Please read our New Member Quick Start - it'll get you going around here.

As for grammar checker software, I've never seen any that's worth a nickel. Sorry. You have to learn that stuff yourself.

Thank you for the welcome, I love your avatar so cute.

I might have look on some software sites, I haven't the time to help my friend out proofreading! Thank you again, I appreciate it.

Thank you for your welcome, I have used Grammarly in the past myself, great tool but not for writing, I think!

Hi Summerlovin! Can I have your dog? I have no software information for you but as a fellow new person, I would like to say hello.. It's fun maneuvering this interesting site, isn't it? A bit intimidating but worth it.
