    Pull My Finger

Farting near you, is always funny,
I laugh out loud when it comes out runny.
I love the times when I hold you there,
    flailing arms, you scream-NOT FAIR!

I pee on the seat, and forget to flush,
I sleep till noon, cause there aint no rush.
I fling my boogers across the room,
gotta new porn mag baby, I will be back soon.

You were so frigid when I took you to prom,
so at the end of the night I shagged your mom.
Thats what you get, when you give no play,
you can call me daddy, cause I like it that way.

Waiting for God (A Nod to Beckett)

    In the air
    hangs a light-bulb,
    suspended on a bare wire.

    On a chair,
    my belt in hand
    I stand, waiting silently,

    looking down:
    trousers around my ankles.

    Cogito

    Interviewing Jim Morrison

I sat myself down with the leather-clad poet
My mission: to capture his essence in ink.
The sleepy eyed singer of Doors fame waited
as my head filled with nothing; I forgot how to think.

The Lizard King put up his feet on the table
and hummed a few notes as I stood on the brink
of finding the ultimate question for him
He pulled out a whiskey – we both took a drink.

The questions were flowing, and so was the booze.
The answers I wrote soon became indistinct
Jim drank most of the bottle, I’m sure! He was soon
yawning in Technicolor into the sink.

Jim dropped his pants, mooned the world from his door
and shouting he stumbled, then fell to the floor
I wish I could write the account of our meeting,
But my notes begin “Jim,…”; I can make out no more.

    [ contains swearing! ]

All in The Name Of Comedy

    Tripping over, falling down,
Clumsy feet just like a clown,
    Crying girl wearing a frown,
    This is some good comedy.

Rip your hair and slash your wrist,
Dig the knife in with a twist,
Drink some cider and get pissed,
    This is no longer comedy.

Laugh at death and smile at pain,
Sit and cry whilst in the rain,
Drown your sorrows all the same,
    In an attempt at comedy.

Life is s**t and you feel dead,
Spend your days stoned in bed,
Take a shotgun to your head,
To try and make some comedy.

He is chief Mod and has had to go away for a while until Christmas time I believe, and a very active member of this forum he was so is thus sorely missed.

This week's topic was Comedy. To look at previous weeks' topics, look at the first post in each of the "Weekly Poetry Contest (xx)" threads in the Weekly Poetry Contest sob-Forum
