Poetry Contest Voting - Vote NOW!

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Cogito, Dec 7, 2007.

Less than 40 hours remaining to read the poems in this week's contest and select the best. For the math-phobic, thats less than 2 days.

If you don't vote, don't gripe about the results!

(Well, don't gripe anyway, but you know what I mean!)

Lol, no, don't vote often, only vote the once. That would be cheating, and I think the voting thread clearly sets out the punishment for that ;)

actually, the thread keeps you from voting more than once... that is, unless you really, really cheat and come back with another username/account to vote again!

so far, when i checked a bit ago, there were more entries, than votes... saaaad... m

I would vote, but I entered. I do think mine's as good as any other if not better, but I would be naturally biased towards my own work. :)

Vote for whichever you feel is best. If you feel okay with voting with your own piece then fine. In the end it's only your conscience that'll keep you in check.

I'm just concerned that my vote will sway the voting further than it really should. Voting for my piece is no real fair judgment, but voting for someone else will doom me because of how few votes there are. If I vote for my own, then I feel that everyone else is entitled to vote for their own--this renders my vote entirely pointless.

I want to vote for myself, because to me, mine is the best. If I thought another was best, I would have written it. But, if I were another person, I would think another was best, so I would vote for that person as well. So I can't vote in anything I participate in.

That didn't make much sense, but I'm tired.
