    Publishing Poetry

Discussion in 'The Craft of Writing Poetry' started by Afterburner, Jul 8, 2008.

So until a few days ago when I joined this forum, I'd never thought of trying to get my writings published... at least not seriously. However, after reading the same thing over and over saying to just keep submitting your work, I've decided I'd like to try it. Where should I send it though? Does anyone know of some good online publications I could try? Any and all advice would be helpful.

P.S. My poems are just general poetry with no particular style.

www.duotrope.com is the best source of magazine publishers you'll find... you can also get the latest edition of writer's digest's 'poet's market'... but duotrope is free and better, imo...
