@Dagolas, It looks like it's just the two of us. I can post again if you want, but I'd rather wait till some of the other players are on to do a fight. Oh, and are there any specific rules for battles?
I was thinking just writing the combat scenes. If lots of people wish it we can use a skill system, or even level, like in Chronicle of the unreal. Oh, and post if you want.
useing some sort of combat system is really getting popular in the rpgs now huh? Surprised they never did it before.
Hm. So, who's for written combat and who's for combat system? Oh and by the way, if anyone's online you should attack the assassins.
So you don't have a battle system prepared? Why don't you made things go free and then adapt it, in the best way
Name:Lily Age:150 - about 21 to humans Species: Fae World: Fantasy (world: Floran, Kingdom: Sprie) Bio: To be introduced as it progresses. Anything else: Speaks through telepathy, can manipulate the elements. She is short, relative to humans. Her height is four feet. She has Curly, fire-red hair that reaches to mid back, delicate features, blue, liquid-like eyes that turn depending on the depth of her thoughts. They are almost too large for her face. Her ears are pointed and her skin is as pale as a moon's ray. She wears a deep green body suit that covers her entirely from chest to mid-thigh, everything else is encircled by strips of the same fabric. She wears one purple string around her hair and forehead in the fashion of a headband. She has no wings. She is very timid, but has trained from a young age to be the priestess of her people, as she is the princess. She communicates through telepathy. Her kind can manipulate the elements in a small degree. -- Sorry, this is a bit rushed. Nearly time for bed here!
I would prefer we write out the battle scenes, battle systems are a bit too...technical. I prefer to just write out battle scenes, and try and be realistic. Tulbuk can wreck these assasin guys, but we get hit by something not ground in a physical setting, like wizards or telepaths, and he is screwed. It would be more fun for me to write out how he is screwed rather than a bunch of stats and stuff that we would have to keep track of, rather than just general characteristics.
I don't do stats well, either. I'm no good with the math/memory portion of it. Also, if I wanted such limitations, I'd play Skyrim or some other RPG-esque game. I RP for the writing (and for the fun, too). =-] No offense to anyone, but the systemic part of RPing is just way out of my league, therefore I hate it. XD BTW, Tulbuk is just an awesome char.
Straight from WoW?! I like!!! Even otherwise. Most of the characters in there are not your typical RPs, and that's amazing! Tulbuk just stands out in a big way to me. Idk, I've always liked the super fantasy creatures. The ones from fairytales and such.
As have I. Specifically dragons. So if I'm not mistaken, Dagolas intended us as writers to write the story. So where do we want to take this?
He reminds me of Fable. That is awesome. Love Fable. I don't know where we should go with this one. I am very glad it didn't die (I was afraid I'd ended it when I came in). Maybe a quest for the homelands? Some adventures along the way? A boss battle at the "end?" Does it really have to end? Ok, ok, I know it has to. I haven't RP'd in so long I'd forgotten how much I love it. Seriously, when I saw more posts today I almost giggled like a high school girl.
Haha. I love the idea of each of us taking the other characters through their particular world. Like, the worlds have been merged together in one mass continent so we can have adventures with that particular character leading the others throught that particular world. Also we need a way to unmerge the worlds, and send the characters on a quest to do that. Maybe a magical amulet with shards scattered across this merged world or something. Dagolas did you have any ideas? Without a clear direction this is going to die.
That is quite a fine idea!!! I like it, only it will take dedication from everyone to describe their respective worlds. If we can do that, then I vote YES! A piece of the trinket in each home land... And the casing or some such with a "boss" at the end? Then a ritual or something, everyone ends with them in their home world?
It's not. I've become addicted to Games of Throne and I'm watching it night and day, sorry. Anyway, I like the amulet story. And wow cmshepard, you like Fable? Why can't more women be like you
Dagolas. Are the people in the camp creatures from the other worlds or are they only the humans from your world?
I guess he could be tanky. But I guess if Tulbuk is going to tank he will need to up his armor stat. Anyhow, I guess I am waiting to see what we are doing. Dag went into the castle, but Vale is wating, so I guess I will wait. I think we are writing the scenes fairly well, but we need some more powerful, and dynamic, enemies past generic 'assasins' that every character has seemed to plow over. In the castle I assume we will be getting a quest or something, so I guess Dag will write that. We should probably get everyone together to go into the castle to follow him, or we can all just assume everyone is already at the castle. It's whatever. I'll follow everyone else's lead. Tulbuk is there to just be cute and cuddly, not really be prominent and powerful. A silly alternative to all of your guy's serious and intelligent characters (past the parody guy).
I am hoping we get some challenges, too. How about it, Dag, can you play a few boss-types against us?
