We have a nearly five-year-old, very grey hamster (Tonton). Last week she was dragging herself around in obvious pain, and I wanted to put her out of her misery before the kids came home from school. Sooooo I put the cage on the balcony (we've been having a cold snap). Three hours later, she was still alive. Kids home any moment--panic. I took her back indoors again and put her on a hot water bottle. It did her the world of good. She's walking much better now.
That is a horrible story. Poor hamster. Next time, take it to a vet to have it put down. It is faster and painless. No room for error and needing to revive it either.
My dog Tux when he was a about nine weeks old and yes that is the toilet brush he happily liberated from the bathroom
My Shadow! Her name is 'Shadow' >-- Lots of Love --< She is 12 years old. She is wrapped up like a ball, sleeping.
lol, Jack I had to look at that picture for a minute before I saw Shadow. My eyes where playing tricks one me with all the black and white! I like being broke too much to settle for a small pet. This was my first horse, Expression, an Arabian. I had to sell him two years ago... ... So I could afford this one! Aurora, aka Rory, horse of my heart. She's a 'mutt' but is the best friend anyone could ask for. I had a bunch of Molly fish for a while but they refused to stay alive for longer than a month, so I gave up.
lol Rory, I had to chose between Shadow and Bessie. I could of chosen Bessie... but yet again she doesn't have have any cow features (besides the black and white spots). So thats why I decided to call my lovely dog, Shadow. Your horses are adorable! How old are they?
This is my kitty Roosevelt, He's not very smart but he is the sweetest cat in the world, and he's all mine (well, I'm his person at least) This is Bryant, Roosevelts littermate. She is scared of anything and everything, and her eyes are always huge. This is Truman, the biggest, laziest, most adorbale cat there ever was, he are Roosevelt are pretty much brothers, It's really cute. And finally this is my dog, Juno. Sweetest dog ever (oh and really sorry about the size of the pictures, I couldn't do anything about it)
^ Juneau and Haplo look like a pair of very posh pooches Mina The only non-blurred picture we managed to get of Pebbles!:
I haven't put many of my pictures of him on my computer yet, but here's one of my beloved American Eskimo dog Ares, with my mom. The picture was taken earlier this year, when he was 14. He still looks young, he was like a puppy right up until just before the end.
Ashleigh: Pebbles is adorable. I would totally fall in love with your dog. Agreen: I am sorry for your loss. Pic didn't come through though. Try again? Bux: Thanks. I like them.
This is Paddy. My silly basset hound. (Hehe... the one on the left) Don't worry. Sometimes I look at him and laugh out loud too.
My Springer spaniel, Zeus. He's a sweet dog, he just loves to cuddle all the time. He's an amazing retriever too.
Which is the pet Destin? I love dogs with babies. Tow of the cutest things in the world together. Is that an English Setter? Or is it a Springer...I can't tell.
He's a springer. He's from a line of hunting dogs so he isn't as curly as some springers. We also shave him down to about 1/2" hair during the summer so his hair is shorter still. He definitely lives up to his breed's name. The dog can 'spring' over 5 foot fences, and when he gets in the grass it is absolutely hilarious to watch him bounce through, his ears just fly straight up in the air and he gets this huge smile. His tail is like a flag, the hair is quite long at the end and it wags CONSTANTLY... I think it has something to do with signalling the master(hunter) where the dog is so he doesn't get shot. When we first got him, we introduced him to the in-laws dog. His hunting line makes him naturally 'point' at any thing he wants me to kill. He points by lifting his front leg in a direction and watches the target. He pointed at their dog. It was pretty funny to watch.
