Ya! Where's the wild west? I love westerns. I've no practice in them, but I do study them avidly. I would love to see a western genre on this forum! I think you just started something good my friend.

I don't believe this issue has been raised before. I have no problem in adding a western subforum if it'll be sufficiently used. If there's not a large enough demand - not a significant amount of people posting westerns - the forum would just end up empty and take up space.

If you write westerns and would post western short stories in such a subforum, please let us know here. ;)

I don't write westerns but if you add a subforum I promise I'll write one.

Hell yeah! I'll definitely write some if you add a western forum. I've had some awesome ideas with that. I bet other people will too once they see the category.

it would only be for the short story section, y'know... so if you had western novels in mind, they'd just go with all the other novels...

I've never tried writing a Western short story before, but I can give it a try if the administrators did add it in the sub-forums.

Or - you could post in in General Fiction.

Or give them a spaceship, name it Serenity, and put it under Science Fiction or Fanfiction. :D

If a category isn't a perfect fit, use the best fit instead.

that's not what he said... you can have all the cowboys and injuns you want and it'll still fit in the 'general fiction' section...
