    Our another

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by yokone, Feb 21, 2011.

Can't we use these two words together?

When I write them on Office Word, it always underlines these words.

Ex; Our another bus /// Isn't it correct?

    Thanks in advance

No, I think maybe you mean 'our other bus'?

So they have more than one bus?

I don't even know what that sentence means... You probably mean our other bus?

    Your question is wrongly worded.

Can't we use these words together? means ...

Cannot we use these words together?

    I think you mean ...

Can we use these words together?

Since you're being so picky about grammar zaffy, English has morphed a little bit. You could also write that contraction out a longer way:

Can we not use these words together?

As for yokone (original poster), can you use "our another" in a full sentence please? Preferably with a surrounding sentence on either side... Context would help everyone out, methinks.

no, you can't use them together and make any sense...

if you meant an additional bus belonging to you and someone else, it would have to be 'our other bus' as another poster noted... or could be 'another bus of ours'...

if it's just an additional bus not belonging to you and you can leave off the 'our' it would just be 'another bus'...

I can't....can not see these two words being linked together.
While almost any two words can be used in a sentence, I assume this is what you mean.

from the information provided I assume "our other" is what you mean. But like others have said, use it in a sentence and we can better decide.
