Question about Amazon Kindle and physical books

Discussion in 'Publishing' started by WriterDude, Aug 9, 2011.

I've lately considered the idea of publishing through Amazon Kindle as e-books, but have a simple question. If I do, can I order it as a physical copy too? If so how, and what does it cost?

No. You would have to make separate arrangements for physical copies, such as print on demand. CreateSpace is apparently tied in to Amazon somehow, so that would be a logical starting point for physical copies of a book you have published on Kindle.

This. I have set my book up both on Amazon as a Kindle eBook and on CreateSpace, and both versions of the book show up on Amazon for sale just like any other book that has both options.

Hi Writerdude - You can create an ebook for free at LuLu.com and create a physical book there too - it's one of the cheapest options around these days (soft cover roughly £5).

Thanks, everyone. The book will first of all be an e-book, but it's nice to know I can get a physical copy later. :)
