Well yeah, but we are talking a woman raping a man...but not in the traditional sense. I was trying to be vague as not to be too graphic. Then you lambasted me for it. :superwhew:

"Lambasted" seems a little strong of a term? You referred to the use of a dildo or other penetrative object as "how two women have sex with each other", so I was just pointing out that penetration is not always (or necessarily even often) part of f/f sex. It's a common misconception, actually, which I think is worth calling out.

You should Google "Real lesbians watch lesbian porn". Porn manufactured for straight men to watch and enjoy is not often an accurate depiction of f/f sex.

ETA: Also not all women who have sex with other women are necessarily lesbians, btw.

Because another poster equated penetration by a "penis substitute" as "how women have sex with each other" and I found it inaccurate?

Technically, rape is sex. So it's not much of a jump. But yeah, it's kind of off-topic.

It was not inaccurate, it was just not comprehensive. FYI, I never did say, "Just like how women only have sex together without a penis..."

But you've watched enough "lesbian porn" to "know what happens." o_O

It's inaccurate to say that penetrative sex with a penis substitute is how two women have sex with each other. It implies that there is ONE TRUE WAY for women to have sex, via some kind of penis-shaped thing because such is ephemeral to the female sexual experience. I assure you that it is not.

Okay thanks for the input everyone. I asked my friends opinions before when writing the story, and they said that they didn't buy a rape, where a tied up man, with a gun held on would get an erection. So how can I write it so that it's believable?

Or if I were to use the penis pump and penis ring... basically in my story, the cop is guarding a witness who is being protected from the gang she is subpoenaed to testify against. While he is guarding her, she knocks him out, and takes him hostage with his gun. This is where she rapes him and then makes it so the cop has no proof, and discredits him by making up how he did this or did that, etc. If a cop was guarding a witness, could she manage sneak a penis pump and ring passed him or do cops normally not check the pockets and purse, of a witness they are guarding?

Look up "misconceptions about male rape"

In the real world, people don't realize that erections are biologically based on blood flow, they think that erections are magically based on conscious decisions to be interested in what's happening. When men are being hanged to death, they will have erections every single time, simply from the laws of fluid dynamics.

Your friends are wrong, and their attitude is what lets real life villains like yours get away with it. Don't encourage them. If I were writing this, I would put characters in the story who say the same garbage your friends said, and I would emphasize that they make the survivors' trauma even worse after the violence itself by so blatantly supporting the sociopathic sadist who inflicted it.

If I should write it so that the rapist not to use any tools, and the MC gets an unwanted erection on his own, than here is the problem with other characters commenting on the situation.

The story is about a cop who wants revenge on the serial rapist who raped him. But in order for the cop to get revenge such as planting evidence and arresting her, he cannot tell anyone about the rape. If he reports it to the police or word gets out, than he cannot be legally involved in the case of catching the rapist, cause it would be a conflict of interest.

He cannot tell any of the police characters about it, if he wishes to remain involved. Should I create other civilian characters to support this theme of getting an erection while raped, or should the characters I create have more purpose than just supporting one smaller theme in the story?

Maybe he wasn't aware either that a person's body can become aroused even when the actual person is scared to death, and "do men who are raped get erections" (both learning the reality "Yes" and learning how strongly many non-survivors believe the misconception "No") would be one of the many things he already has to Google by himself about how to deal with the trauma?

You could just have it be internal dialogue. Maybe he's had some experience with male rape victims in his line of work and so he has a better understanding than the average Joe/your friends. If you're looking for some characterization/angst, you could have him remember a time when he was less than sympathetic to a male rape victim b/c he had the same misconceptions your friends have. You could have him remembering the other victim saying he'd hated it, he hadn't wanted it, he'd just gotten hard because he couldn't help it, etc., and your character not really believing it at the time.

Agreed. There are even cases of men who are paralyzed who can get a reactionary erection from physical stimulation they cannot even feel. Add the adrenaline of the situation, and I think the guy wouldn't have a chance... I would encourage you to nix the toys and delve deeper into the phycological stimulants/motivations/reactions of the situation... both his and hers. I really feel THAT is where the scence will become deeply impactful for the reader.

Perhaps, but once he is immobilzed, psycologically he is going to be forced to begin to deal with the situation outside of fight or flight. The longer this scene lasts, the more opportunity there is to twist the interactions to make them truly terrifying. Once the initual reaction has worn off, I would argue his body might begin to respond in ways he wouldn't have expected.
Take soldiers/warriors for instance, finding themselves with unbidden erections and awakened sex drive after a battle (lending to the history of rape of conquered people?). Wouldn't it be an interesting character development for him to find his body reacting to her stimulation in an animalistic way he does not understand. And think of how this would lend to his guilt afterwards, fueling the desire for revenge, to reconcile himself with not only the event, but his own reaction to it.

Okay thanks. It's a matter of the reader believing it then, since it's hard to believe a man would have an erection with a gun to his head, who could be killed at any moment. I want the rapist to get away with raping a cop though. So she would probably have a much easier time getting away with it, if she didn't put stimulants in his system though, right? It doesn't prove that she would be guilty, but it might be enough evidence to get more of an investigation going with warrants and wire tape orders, compared to it just being he said, she said only. Unless I am wrong?

Also she would probably have to cuff him with his own hand cuffs to get him to restrained. Or at least tie him up while he is knocked out maybe. So how is she going to get rid if the handcuff marks, or marks from where he is restrained, so that cannot be used as evidence?
