Help wanted / help offered subboard?

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by mvBarracuda, Feb 23, 2009.

    Heya writingforums members :)

I've just recently registered as I'm part of a team of game developers which are searching for a dedicated writer who would be interested in joining forces.

Unfortunately I couldn't find some kind of help wanted / help offered subboard here where projects that are searching for writers could present their concepts and writers who would be interested in getting involved in such projects could advertize as well. What would the appropriate place for such a "help wanted" advert be at these forums?

This is a workshop not a recruitment office. Also, the kind of writer you'll need won't exist here. Besides. Why not write it yourself and save the trouble of paying someone? I can think of few people who would dedicate so much time to a project for free.

there is an rpg section here, so that would be the best place to look for people who might want to work with you, whether for fee or free...

For the same reason why some programmers, graphics artists, project managers and composers work for free on such a project:
    * Love for open source development.
    * Gaining experience working on a team game development project.
    * Using the game as a portfolio piece to get into the industry.

Not sure if it's that common for writers but it doesn't seem impossible to me that some writer might be attracted to it.
