Random Thought Thread

I want to move to the United Kingdom. Half of my heart belongs there. Somewhere, in the deep recesses of my brain I feel I should've been born there. In some way, I hope my writing can give me the money to move to Europe.

 

I have a serious but not emergency status question (so if you have a spare minute or two, or if you know the answer).

What is the similar yet opposite of Fan-Fic?

Saying this with a smile: Why are some folks so hell-bent on a cigar being something other than a cigar? Seriously?

 

There are different types:
Cigar (standard)
Cigarillo (smaller thinner)
Blunt (Tobacco, and short version of full size)
Mini Cigar

But they are all just simply that: Cigars
Unless you are referring that people call them things like Stogies or something?
As much fun as it is to smoke one, it looks like you are lighting the end of turd and smoking that.

@cydney Of course I don't. I can't know everything, otherwise there would be nothing interesting to learn.

 

Three things are slowing down my writing:

1. Not being motivated/not having the energy to proceed

2. Being absolutely stumped on how to progress my stories further (writer's block)

3. Too much negative self-talk about my writing which often makes me not want to write

If it weren't for those three things I'd probably have my first book published by now. I'm not kidding. The only time I can get any real progress done it seems is if I'm in good mood and once that's over (in a matter of hours or a day at maximum) then I'm back at square one. It's frustrating a bit and it's leaking into any other project I want to do as well. I think I focus so much on writing believe I feel I'm good at anything else. I noticed that whenever I try to force myself to write I only spit out fragments here and there and they're often not very good.

 

I hate hotel wifi & using my iPhone to post. I'm doing both right now so just look over me. I think I need to switch around a little.

 

I'm even weirder in person.

 

The IDGAF policy is now in effect.

 

Is anyone else suffocating or is it just me? What's with all the different accounts by the same person? How does anyone get away with that? How many? 99? 2000? I'm freakin' covered up! So covered up I have to go invisible! Can't get a word in edgewise!

Dad wants us to rent out our house and move somewhere else (apparently out of the city), but I'm against it. My school, my job and therapists are all in the city and it'll take a hell a lot longer to get to those places if we move farther out. I would try to get my own small apartment once I save up, but he needs me and his income to put food in the house and if we separate he and my sister are mostly screwed.
