Hey, I'm gonna start cleaning up the main RP page a little. The plan is to move anything that hasn't had a post for more than 3 months to the Archive. Any objections?
Well, I moved everything. Anything that got moved has a redirect notice on it that will last for 5 days. If anyone wants anything moved back out, and can provide a good reason for doing so, lemme know and I'll get it done!
Hey everyone! So, I was talking with Wreybies about getting a signature button that can be embedded in sigs that would lead here to RP. I really like the idea since it could be kind of a badge for us RPers and would lead new people who are interested to this part of the forum. So a couple things: First We need a color. Red, Blue and Green are already taken by other sig buttons. Second, where should it lead to here? I was thinking either just the RP main page, or the new FAQ (once I get it done), but if anyone has a better idea (Short of it going to their individual game thread lol) i am all ears. And lastly, we have a little freedom with the font as well, so I am open for suggestions on that too. Lemme know what you all think!
Perhaps you could create a new sticky that you keep up to date with on going and upcoming RPs with a status of whether they are currently recruiting. I think I remember we used to have one back in 2008 or so. That way if you are linking them with the intention to get involved they can quickly see what RPs they can get involved with. Maybe purple as a colour?
Check it y'all! We have signature buttons now! There are a few different options. Here's how they look, with the code to use them afterward. :RPGR1: :rpgr1: :RPGR2: :rpgr2: :RPGR3: :rpgr3: :rpgb1: :rpgb1: :rpgb2: :rpgb2: :rpgb3: :rpgb3: You can link them to anywhere by just typing the code into your signature, and then using the link button (looks like a little chain link) in the tool bar, and then paste in the URL. Conceivably they could be used only as images, to link to a forthcoming Current RP's thread, or to a specific game. If you do choose to link it to a specific game, please add a disclaimer in your sig stating that it is to that game. Also, if you wanna use a button, please limit yourself to one, so they aren't taking over the signature. Also, a big thanks to @Wreybies for making these! EDIT: Also, please refrain from using the largest size, :rpgb3: and :rpgr3: in signatures. Those should only be used for in posts, but they are too big to signatures.
I hear red is all the rage in Paris. Thanks @Wreybies ! And BTW we need a link to the new FAQ in the Welcome thread. Don't you think?
Hey guys/girls do you know if there are any new RPs in the works? And on a side note what happened to the Fall of the Jedi RP? I was really enjoying it and that was just from reading it.
@Macaberz was leading the Fall of the Jedi. I think life happened and he had to stop, but I remember enjoying it as well and know i would love to jump back in if he decided to reboot it. (Hint Hint Mac). As for new RP's, Fey Falken: The Lost Expidition (despite the number of pages) is actually relatively new and you could jump into it easily. Just send a pm to @AnonyMouse . Oh and Welcome to the RP section, @Master Attanp! Best role playing place you'll ever be too.
Thanks @Loves to Write I'm happy to be here! I would also been keen to jump into Fall of the Jedi if it came back, but in the mean time I can try and catch up on Fey Falken. It looks pretty good I'm just nervous that I'll mess up or something because I missed some plot point or writing method due to me not being there from the start. Haha I guess I have the newbie nerves
@Master Attanp I wouldn't worry about that to much. While there seems to be a lot of posts its really just the character introductions and then the start of the first action scene. Character relations are pretty fluid at the moment as there was a time jump of a month after the Feyfalken departed so you can decide whether you want to know some of the crew well or not. It's a big ship so it's perfectly plausible that you don't know any of the playing characters properly by that time. Don't be to nervous just know a little bit about your setting. As long as you don't introduce anything to crazy or out of scene it should be fine. In the hectic action scenes you tend to find a little bit of confusion and deviation anyway because we all imagine scenes differently in our heads or forget some of the details that were posted up the week before. As long as it's not game breaking it generally slides by or gets flagged up in the discussion if need be and dealt with. If you want anyone to look over what you post I'm sure you could message one of us or if you want to do a collaboration post to introduce your character in Feyfalken feel free to message me. Welcome to the RP forums
So guys... I sort of have this idea for an RP, but I don't have the time to actually run it. I have a very busy life now between writing seriously, writing fanfictions, work, horses, and looking after my dogs. If I were to write up the idea, would anybody be interested in running it for me? It's sort of an angels and demons and Nephilim deal like the last idea I had but this one is sans Four Horsemen, loosely based off some ideas from Supernatural with a few more classic/traditional ideas. I'm idly tossing plot ideas around in my head. It'd be set in a now-ish type time, but in an alternate universe so some things sort of didn't end up happening while other things are a "thing" that aren't in real life. I'm having a little bit too much fun playing with a similar concept with someone I idly write with [no intentions of publishing, it's just for fun] and I can't help but wonder if others would enjoy it as much as I do. I'd start it myself but I have fanfiction readers screaming for updates and I'm two days behind on one, six months behind on another, and have my serious work to think about as well.
Allright fellas. My laptop died again, hence won't be show too much around here. Bad point: Won't be able to post in RPGs I'm playing Good point: Wasn't playing too much and it wasn't too active. Bad point: May miss any important event, I will be very outdated and etc. Good point: Won't have to read App's commentaries which kinda compensate all the rest.
