I watched the film I Am Legend for the first time last night and wow what a really good film. I've got to hand it to Will Smith his acting skills just keep getting better. I almost got upset when his dog got bit. But the film was brilliant. And like the original his ending was a sad demise. But the cgi on the crazed and infected was brilliant and the fact that they were de-evolved humans they started to show some intellect after snarring him in a trap he snarred one of them. Though I felt the film was a sad story I totally enjoyed it and fully recommend the film. Who else has seen the film and what were your thoughts about it.
Yeah I really felt for the guy when his dog saved him but got bit in the process. But then I have three dogs and one is a German Shepard just like Sam from the film.
I was impressed with it a lot, though I think the only reason I went and saw it in the first place was because of the Dark Knight preview. The movie was really good. I was impressed.
I cried when the dog died. Therefore for its clever ability at emotional manipulation I give it the Eoz seal of approval.

Well, who can stop himself from crying if they watch Taare Zameen Par...??? It's such a beautiful movie......Darsheel's acting is especially a major pro.
Yeah the book was good. But for some reason I have the film stuck in my head. Its the whole dog scene and those final moments when he discoveres he has the cure but its his demise.
I loved that movie! I saw it about a week ago. I cried when the dog died, and also when Will Smith (I forget the actual character's name) sacrificed himself to cure the infected...thingies.

I liked how Will Smith/his South American girlfriend only drove Ford products. That really added to the movie if you ask me. Also, the fact that the only computers being used in the movie were Mac's was important.
Just goes to show: even if you're thought to be one of the last people on Earth, there will still be product placement. *Gets in a Ford GT and drives off, iPod playing through the optional $50.00 connection*
It's crazy how much advertising there is in everything we do. I took a class last semester that talked about it, and it sort of scared me. How much more advertising can we cram into things? The other day I was watching a baseball game, and I found out that the Sharp Liquid Aquous is the official television of Major League Baseball. Why does MLB need an official television? Also, on average a 30 minute television program is really only 22 minutes long, with eight minutes of commercials. That seems highly excessive to me... I also heard about this novelist who was paid to mention a certain company ten times in her novel. What the hell? Is advertising even breaking into the world of literature?
Yeah, he has a new one coming out soon, doesn't he? I'm sure I'll end up seeing it as it seems like I see all of his movies in theaters. Maybe this time, I'll bring a steno pad and record every instance of product placement. Then, I'll do that for other blockbuster films coming out this summer, like the new Indiana Jones or The Dark Knight, and draw some conclusions out of what I find.
I really enjoyed it, though it wasn't what I had expected. I also cried when Sam died, and when Will Smith begged the mannequin to say hello to him - I found that heart breaking. He was amazing, he's an incredible actor. I thought the whole plot was very original, too, and I loved all the effects.
