I'm starting a never-before-taken journey! Well, start perhaps isn't quite the right word, since I wrote my first story as an 8 year old, but aside from a few writing years in college I haven't done much with my writing except jot down notes and create beginnings. Lots and lots of story beginnings. Now I have a husband, a full house of kids (5 and counting), a dog, a "new" house we plan to completely renovate, and the sudden urge to publish a book. I think I'm kind of nuts, honestly. Looking forward to learning more about this community!
Hi L. J. welcome to the group! Wow! You've got your hands full but that doesn't have to be a disadvantage. I find I do my best work when I'm trying to balance things - that way I make every writing moment count.

Thank you! And yes, there are definitely some advantages to having so much going on.For one, it forces me to be more disciplined and focused when I do finally sit down at the computer.
Thank you! Currently I'm working on a string of children's books. Still in the beginning stages, but it's coming along.
