    Seeking advice on best plot option for kids book

    I agree.

    But I did the survey, and I think the "staying at school by yourself" option would be most intriguing for a kid that age. I interpreted that as a situation where a kid gets locked in the school overnight or abandoned there or something, which would seem like this huge and dangerous situation for a kid that age. The other ones--airplane ride, buying a mother's day present--are very routine and don't present that same type of exciting mysterious danger.
