    short fiction publishing

Discussion in 'Self-Publishing' started by Daryl, Jan 25, 2012.

hi everyone....i am currently working on a few short fiction stories..i am not necessarily looking for a publishing deal at this time but i would like to compile a few of them and make an ebook out of that..i just wanted to know if you guys think that it makes sense to do that and self publish through smashwords or lulu and if so what would be the best route to take in terms of promotion and marketing.....thanks guys.

Submit to magazines. Self-publishing is mostly vanity press. You may not want the hassle of actually convincing someone else your writing is worth publishing, but it's the best way of forcing you to improve your quality to the standards the reading public demands.
