    This might be an idea for your horror story

    Writers! Beware this is a disturbing tale of a real life death I'm about to share..

    Okay, there is something I need to get off my chest. My mother works in hospice and she sees patients in their last days. She sees death come all the time but not like this particular case.

    There was a Hispanic man who lived with his wife and he had a brain tumor; he was bedridden and needed to be tended to daily. According to my mother, he was a pain in the ass and always sung mana songs.

    What they didn't know was that he also had a stomach ulcer and one day it exploded and they walked in to see bloo everywhere. The blood was not red though but it was brownish. The most disturbing and frightening part was afterwards though when they were cleaning up the blood for the morgue, which I didn't even know they were supposed to do.

    He was officially dead without a pulse but when they turned him on his side to clean him; they could hear his voice. He was heaving too as if he was throwing up... But he was dead!

    Anyways, that story bothered me. Perhaps you horror readers/writers can come up with something more terrorizing? Let me know!

    Yes, how do you think I felt? And when she told me that I was on my way to school. Also, I have another disturbing and ugly tale I never told anyone but unlike the first one, it is a dream I had recently. Lots of terrorizing things exist.

    How does being forced to live as a brain, eyes, and a spine being kept artificially alive by an unknown being along with many other species. Forced to watch as a collective as others are dissected for research over a long time, and you are left to the horror show and trapped in your own mind for an indeterminate amount of time that far surpasses your standard life cycle. And that is your life to be exposed to visions of nightmares, imprisoned in your own mind and since you can't do anything your agony is the hell with which you have been placed. Unable to scream or escape.

    I think that description might have lost something in translation.

    It would have been explosive diarrhea, in case you pictured his abdomen bursting open.

    I don't know what you mean by this:
    And corpses can expel air though the vocal cords when you move them. I don't know what the heaving was but my guess is, it was something similar.

    <Disclaimer for dog lovers>

    I experienced something similar.

    My chihuahua froze to death. He made a break for it when no one was looking--too smart for his own good. Now, when we eventually found him, we took him home. As I was wrapping him in a blanket to bury him in, we heard him heaving. I thought it was my imagination and continued wrapping him. I stopped and unwrapped him when the heaving didn't go away. My younger sister was wishful that he could possibly still be alive! But I knew he was dead. I eventually figured out why he was heaving, I had been pressing down on his chest and was releasing air out of his lungs.
