Can we just agree that men with deep voices are fkn sexy as hell? Then we can all hold hands and run into the sunset.
Anyone remember the voice of Duchess in The Aristocats? I think it was one of the Gabor sisters. Is that still considered a sexy voice for a woman, or does it sound a bit...mature for today's tastes? And on the subject of sexy cartoon voices, I saw a film about a team of secret agent hamsters the other day, and the girl hamster had a great accent...fell asleep before the end so I don't know who it was...
ooh I love mature voices, the real Duchess of Devonshire has a beautiful voice, I like people like Shiela Hancock, Honor Blackman, Phyllida Law as well.
There is more than one 'Scottish' accent too. I'm from Lock Ness, and people around that area sound different when compared to someone from the south east, and south west of Scotland. I don't have that accent though, sadly, I've spent too long in England, but I do love the sound of someone from Cornwell. I like the accents of the North East U.S., the New England area too.
I am near Forres is it the same nearer Loch Ness - here with the over 70s the accent/dialect and language changes from village to village? You can tell with them which one came from which village 3 miles apart. Then you have the coastal towns with the Norwegian and secret languages thrown in.
You are not kidding; I remember visiting Loch Ness last year, I went into this small pub in Fort Augustus and I can understand a little Gallic, but I could not understand anything this one guy said.
LOL it can be like that -I know this is off topic but I find the North of Scotland fascinating for this some of the fishing villages have their own language they developed so the customs officers wouldn't know when they were talking about the smuggling
Not sure about secret languages but my Shetland accent is influenced by Norn, from Norway. I have a mild Edinburgh accent for my work which is contrived to make sure I am understood! But when I go back to Shetland among friends and family all sorts of strange quirks come flooding back. The most notable difference to Mainland Scottish dialects is "du/dine/dey" for "you/yours/they". With a few Shetland nouns thrown in it can sound like a foreign language.
She's talking about the very north of Mainland Scotland, from Lock Ness to John o' Groats. That vast, pretty much wild part of Scotland is home to loads of small, isolated villages where the elder folks have very strange accents and sometimes, yes, secret languages.
its actually the bit before there - the one between Inverness and Aberdeen, its so difficult to explain to people that have never experienced it. Its not even Doric or Gaelic, the Moray fishing villages also have Norweigian in them, I don't think Glasgow or Buckie are what most people mean when they describe a sexy Scots accent Aside from wondering actually what people mean when they include Scots as a sexy accent, because when people say that Rab C Nesbitt usually comes to mind before Ewan McGregor lol as it is massively varying it is I am sorry completely off topic will drop it now Although if it helps John Barrowman has a rather nifty Scots accent apparently his boyfriend find freaky in daylight but sexy in the dark lol
Strong hispanic accents, particularly from northern Mexico and Venezuela. Castilian accents are hot too; I prefer a lot of Spanish Spanish vocabulary to Latin American Spanish vocabulary, and I like the vosotros form that they use in Spain, which is absent in most Latin American countries.
I don't think it's possible for anyone to find their own voice or accent sexy. If someone was to think that there would be something seriously wrong with them! Personally, although I'm not attracted to either of them, I think Obama and George Clooney have sexy voices. I like Sean Bean's voice and Northern accent despite him pimping it out to numerous British tv adverts. As for the ladies, I'd say Penelope Cruz has a sexy voice and accent. Cate Blanchett has a beautiful voice. A lot of singers have nice talking voices too, like Leona Lewis.
Eva Gabor. And yesyesyes. I loved her voice. I loved Heath Ledger's voice, also. But I think my all-time favorite sexy voice pick would have to be Gerard Butler.
A deep pitch and a relaxed delivery is sexier for either gender. Men: Sexy Voice: James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman, Barry White, George Clooney. Not Sexy Voice: Carrot Top, Richard Simmons, Don Knotts. Women: Sexy Voice: Angelina Jolie, Queen Latifa, Anne Francis, Raquel Welch, Jamie Lee Curtis Not Sexy Voice: Bernadette Peters, Paris Hilton, Sally Struthers Note I am speaking specifically of the voices, regardless of what other attributes they possess. Orson Wells was hardly a sex symbol, but his voice was powerful and mesmerizing. With women, think sultry, and you will imagine a voice that purrs through the lower registers of tone.
There is a phrase that comes to mind: All that it takes for evil to conquer is for temptation to have the voice of James earl Jones. And all that it takes for good men to triumph, is for the voice of conscience to ring with the resonance of Morgan Freeman.
