I loved this movie more than I can say.
Watching them beat zombies to Don't Stop Me Now made my life worth living.
And, unbelievably, Hot Fuzz is even better. Watch that, too, if you haven't.
Did you hear that Simon Pegg is going to play Scotty in the new Star Trek movie? I found that funny...

Personally, I didn't care for it. Loved Dawn of the Dead though!

Now do you mean the 2004 or 1979 version? The 2004 version was good, but ultimately the original is far more entertaining as a film overall.

Oh, and Shaun of the Dead was a brilliant tribute to zombie films. I'm a HUGE fan of zombies and this was definetley my cup of tea. Hot Fuzz was even better though, I'd agree with Crazy Ivan on that. Gotta love British humor.

That movie is hilarious. I love the shoot-out. It came out of nowhere but was so much fun.

Both. I was actually referring to the 2004 version, but they're both great.

Oh ok, I'd agree with ya there. Both are top zombie films.

I didn't like Shaun of the Dead that much either. My favorite zombie movie is 28 Weeks Later.

If you want to get all technical and geeky about it, they aren't actually zombies...

Still, that movie is pretty intense and really gritty. It's still one heck of a film.

I do like how 28WL avoids many of the Zombie Cliches.

Well, even if they aren't officially zombies, I'm going to go ahead and label the 28 franchise as zombie movies.

I preferred 28 Days Later because it wasn't as mainstream and had a better "feel", but the first 10 minutes of 28 Weeks Later were stellar.

John Murphy, who did the score for the first one (and maybe the second) is a genius. The end scene in the army barracks was amazing. He also made Sunshine a better movie with The Surface of the Sun.

Whenever John Murphy, Danny Boyle and Alex Garland team up you know it's going to be a great movie.

Sorry, but comedy was already an art form long before Shaun of the Dead. In cinema, you could look at Blazing Saddles, or go back further to classics like Duck Soup.

Still staying within this century, the early days of television was filled with comic geniuses like Jackie Gleason, Ernie Kovacks, Jack Benny, and the hilarious but gentle Red Skelton.

Next to them, Shaun of the Dead is heavy handed and as lame as a zombie with rotted legs.

    LMAO

I love Shaun of the Dead. However. I can't watch it anymore because I nearly ruined it for myself because I watched it so much.... But I hate realistic and more serious zombie flicks- I got nightmares from Dawn of the Dead. I hate Zombie movies. I have an irrational fear that the time will come when zombies will rise and.... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!

*runs to her secret zombie repellent bunker fortress with unlimited food and clean water supply and heaps of weapons. And a whole bunch of Alice clones to keep me company and protected*
