I write poems and short stories, mostly. I've tried doing longer pieces, but I can never really get beyond the ten-thousand word mark. My attention wanes at that point, and I tend to start writing short stories again.
I'm comfortable with both, since I love writing almost anything, although I do more novels than short stories. I'll even put short stories into my novels!
